Discover the precision and craftsmanship of KAI Seki Magoroku knives, a trusted Japanese kitchen knife range inspired by the centuries-old blade-making heritage of Seki, Japan. Designed for everyday home cooking, these knives combine sharp cutting performance, comfortable handling and practical durability.

The Seki Magoroku collection includes a wide selection of Japanese kitchen knives, from versatile santoku and chef’s knives to specialised nakiri, petty and utility knives. Each blade is designed to make food preparation feel smoother and more controlled, whether you are slicing meat, chopping vegetables, preparing fish or completing detailed kitchen tasks.

Japanese Knives for Everyday Cooking

KAI Seki Magoroku knives are made for cooks who value sharpness, balance and ease of use. Their refined blade profiles allow for clean, precise cuts, helping protect the texture and appearance of ingredients while reducing the effort required during preparation.

Different Seki Magoroku series feature their own blade materials, construction methods and handle designs. This makes it easy to find a knife that suits your cooking style, experience level and maintenance preferences.

Choose the Right KAI Seki Magoroku Knife

Santoku knives are versatile Japanese all-purpose knives suitable for slicing meat, fish and vegetables.

Gyuto and chef’s knives feature a longer blade that works well for larger ingredients, slicing and rocking cuts.

Nakiri knives have a straight-edged blade designed for efficient vegetable chopping and precise downward cuts.

Petty and utility knives are compact options for peeling, trimming, slicing fruit and completing detailed preparation work.

Deba and specialised Japanese knives are designed for more specific tasks such as preparing fish, depending on the individual model.

How to Care for Your Japanese Knife

For the best performance, wash your KAI Seki Magoroku knife by hand with mild detergent and dry it immediately after use. Avoid dishwashers, as high temperatures and strong detergents may damage the blade and handle.

Use a wooden or soft plastic cutting board to help maintain the blade edge. Avoid cutting frozen food, bones or other hard materials unless the knife is specifically designed for that purpose.

Regular sharpening with a suitable whetstone or knife sharpener will help keep your knife performing at its best.

Explore the KAI Seki Magoroku knife collection and find a dependable Japanese kitchen knife for everyday slicing, chopping and food preparation.
