A Tea Party Deep in the Forest is the Japanese-language original picture book by Akiko Miyakoshi, first published by Kaisei-sha in November 2010. A young girl named Kikko, sent on an errand, discovers a grand old house deep in the forest and peers inside to find elaborately dressed animals hosting a tea party.
Miyakoshi's soft pencil and watercolour illustrations move between the ordinary and the uncanny, giving the story its quiet, storybook-like atmosphere. The book won the Japan Picture Book Award Grand Prize in 2012 and was later published in English by Kids Can Press as The Tea Party in the Woods.

Most definitely! Most of our parcels are shipped out via Auspost, unless oversized. We'll contact you if we're unable to send your order to your shipping address.
