This Hobonichi Techo Weeks features artwork from Tomie, the debut and most iconic work by horror manga artist Junji Ito.
Using original illustrations first created in 1987, the design bridges nearly four decades of Junji Ito’s unmistakable world, capturing Tomie’s haunting beauty and unsettling allure.
The cover presents an illusory version of Tomie, born from a young girl’s intense admiration. Printed on a matte black hardcover, the artwork is finished with glossy silk screen printing, creating a subtle contrast in texture that brings depth and movement to the image.
This illustration is taken from the Tomie: Hair chapter. Fine dot shading recreates the original manga screen tones on her forehead and lips, while thick transparent ink highlights Tomie’s defining features—her long, lustrous black hair and the tear-shaped mole beneath her left eye—shifting in appearance depending on the viewing angle.
The back cover depicts the moment a girl discovers a bundle of hair hidden in a paulownia box in her father’s study, marking the beginning of the story. Tomie’s glossy hair is expressed with gold foil, adding a quiet but striking finish.

What is the return policy?
Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. Our return policy is 14 days upon receiving your order for most items. In the case that you're not happy with the item your received, let us know and we’ll do our best to work with you to make it right.

Can I ship to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers?
Most definitely! Most of our parcels are shipped out via Auspost, unless oversized. We'll contact you if we're unable to send your order to your shipping address.
How much does shipping cost?
We offer free shipping for orders over $149 and a flat rate of $10 for under that amount. There's an additional charge for large or bulky items which will be calculated at checkout.
