Absolutely worth it!

I should have bought this instead of the cheap rice cooker that I thought would 'do'. I don't know how it does it, but this tiger rice cooker makes rice fluffier and TASTIER! It cooks evenly, no burnt bits or sticking to the bowl, and no overflow of condensation spilling everywhere. I am so happy with my new rice cooker and wish I'd bought it years ago!

It’s been a long time since I have managed to cook rice properly. I used Japanese rice but couldn’t get it right. Finally, came to the conclusion that I needed good rice cooker. I got back to my old favourite. Yes, now I can enjoy good “Gohan” every day. 1.8L is very big. I can cook rice , divide into two and put one in freezer.

Hello, how many cups of cooked rice does this make? We are looking for something small!

This Tiger JNP1000 1.0L rice cooker can cook at minimum of 0.5 cups of rice and a maximum of 5.5cups.

This might be a silly question, but can this rice cooker cook any type of rice (brown, multigrain, jasmine, basmati, medium- and long-grain varieties etc) or is it just for Japanese white short grain?

Not a silly question at all!
Tiger JNP rice cookers can cook all types of rice, just need to slightly adjust the rice to water ratio depending on rice used and may need to let the rice rest a little bit after cooking.

The optimum water to rice ratio are usually found on the packaging of the rice.

Does this rice cooker have an Australian power plug ?
