What is Jabara?
Jabara fruit from Wakayama Prefecture are a fragrant citrus (high natural acidity), naturally blended with yuzu and mandarin oranges. It has been said that the name “Jabara” comes from its sour taste, so sour that it can even ward off evil spirits. It has more juice and fewer seeds than yuzu, is unique in flavor, and is considered a New Year’s delicacy.
