Perfect for a quick lunch

Great little rice cooker for one. Easy to use as the “strainer” is also the measuring cup. Thank goodness for translator apps as all the directions are in Japanese. But once you know what the measurements are, it’s easy.

No instructions in English and no rice paddle

Arrived on time. A very neat design, but I need a translation of the instructions for microwave time at least. Where is the rice paddle? Not in my delivery.

Please see below for a translation of the instructions:

Measure the Rice:
Use the inner lid to measure the rice.
For 1 serving: fill to the 1-cup line.
For 0.5 servings: fill to the 0.5-cup line.

Add Water:
Pour the measured rice and the appropriate amount of water into the main container.

Set to Washing Mode:
Attach the inner and outer lids in washing mode.
Hold down the outer lid and shake up and down to wash the rice.

Drain the Water:
Remove the outer lid and press down the inner lid to drain the water. (Please refer to diagram on packaging)

Soak the Rice:
Add water to the main container up to the water level line.
Let the rice soak for 20-30 minutes (20 minutes in summer, 30 minutes in winter).

Set to Cooking Mode:
Attach the inner and outer lids in cooking mode. (Please refer to diagram on packaging)
Set the heating time based on the amount of rice.
For 1 cup: heat for approximately 10 minutes.
For 0.5 cups: heat for approximately 7 minutes.
Ensure the microwave is set to 500W.

Steam the Rice:
After heating, let the rice sit and steam for an additional 20 minutes.
Total Estimated Time: 47-60 minutes

Soaking: 20-30 minutes
Microwave Heating: 7-10 minutes
Steaming: 20 minutes
