How to Set Up

Place the trivet (nabeshiki) on the table.
Place the main body on the trivet.
Fill with water up to just below the air hole inside the main body.
(Approx. 700ml for large size, 250ml for small size)
⚠️ Using it without enough water is extremely dangerous.
Break up the specially sold charcoal for grilling (Ogatan) into pieces small enough to fill 60–80% of the inner bowl, and place them inside.
Place the grill mesh on top to complete the setup.

How to Light the Charcoal

After setup, ensure there are no flammable items nearby.
Remove the mesh and ignite the Ogatan charcoal directly using a gas torch burner.

Safety Precautions for Lighting

Do not use on induction cooktops.
Do not light the fire while the inner bowl is wet. This may cause cracking.
Do not use fire starters.
