Superior Heat Conductivity and Durability

Crafted in Tsubame-Sanjo, Japan’s renowned hub for metalwork, the Shimoyama Wok showcases exceptional craftsmanship for optimal cooking performance. Its precisely engineered iron body ensures even heat distribution, preventing hot spots and delivering consistent results every time.

The durable iron surface is safe for metal utensils and naturally develops a seasoned coating over time for enhanced non-stick performance. Ideal for high-heat cooking, the Shimoyama Wok brings out the best in stir-fries, seared meats, and fried rice with its ability to create the perfect balance of crispness and flavour.

Durable Three-Layer Nitriding Treatment

The Shimoyama Wok boasts a three-layer nitriding process that enhances surface hardness and resists burning, scratches, and rust—unlike traditional non-stick coatings that can wear down over time. This treatment bonds directly to the iron, preserving its natural properties without relying on synthetic layers. It offers a durable, chemical-free surface that can handle metal utensils and withstand high heat, making it perfect for stir-fries, searing, and more.

Over time, the wok develops a natural patina, further improving its non-stick performance. Built for those who value longevity and authenticity, the Shimoyama Wok is a true investment in quality cooking.

Lightweight Durability, Perfectly Crafted

At just 1.3kg with a 1.6mm thickness, the Shimoyama Wok is a testament to Japanese craftsmanship from Tsubame-Sanjo. Unlike heavier alternatives, this wok achieves the perfect balance of being lightweight yet durable, making it easy to handle without sacrificing performance. Its finely honed construction ensures even heat distribution, preventing hot spots while delivering exceptional cooking results.

This level of precision and durability is only possible through the unparalleled skill of Tsubame-Sanjo artisans. Ideal for both quick stir-fries and slow-cooked dishes, the Shimoyama Wok combines functionality with traditional craftsmanship in every detail.
