On Tuesday 27 October, the Hobonichi Techo Meeting Caravan sets up at Chayo Café, right next door to MINIMARU Clayton, for two small sessions of techo users sharing how they use theirs. A meetup with the people who make the techo
The Meeting Caravan is Hobonichi's travelling get-together. Members of the Hobonichi Techo team visit a city, sit down with a small group of techo users, and spend an hour and a half talking about how everyone actually uses their book. It has run across Japan and in cities like Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Toronto and Chicago. This is its first stop in Melbourne.
The groups are kept small on purpose, so everyone gets a turn to open their techo and talk through it.
What to bring and what we will talk about
Anyone who uses a Hobonichi Techo is welcome, whether you started this year or have a shelf of them.
-
Your Hobonichi Techo
Current or past, any size or format. Show the pages you are proud of and the ones that are a mess.
-
Your 2027 cover
If you have already picked your cover for next year, bring it along and tell us why.
-

The pens, stickers, stamps and tapes that live in your cover pockets.
You may end up in Hobonichi's event report
Hobonichi publishes a write-up after each Meeting Caravan. Photos from the day, including participants' techo pages, may be featured.
