HON is a daily book with its cover already built in, so there is nothing else to choose or assemble. You buy one object and start writing. It comes in two sizes. The A6 carries the same daily content as the Original; the A5 matches the Cousin and adds a weekly spread that no other HON size has. Because the hardcover is part of the book, the usual Hobonichi covers do not fit; only a moulded Clear Cover made for HON slips over it for protection. A tidy choice if you would rather not build a book-and-cover set.

HON is January-start; there is no separate April-start.
This year HON is English-led. The plain Japanese HON is not part of the range, alongside the two collaborations above.

Daily: one page a day. The A6 carries the same daily content as the Original; the A5 matches the Cousin.

Weekly: only the A5 HON has one: a weekly spread whose timeline runs 5 am to 4 am the next day, so late nights still land on the right day. The A6 has no weekly page.

Monthly: a calendar spread each month. The hardcover is part of the book, so it is made to be used as it comes.
