A 1.5-loaf (1.5 kin) shokupan tin with a sliding lid, made from heavier 0.7mm steel plate. The thicker steel holds and spreads heat well, so the loaf rises evenly and bakes up soft and fluffy with a fine, even crumb.
The sliding lid closes easily and will not lift as the dough rises, giving a neat square loaf; bake without it for a rounded, mountain-top loaf. The body is aluminium-plated steel with a stainless steel reinforcing rim.
