A finishing whetstone for the polishing stage of knife sharpening Ð used after a coarse stone to take an edge from sharp to silver. The fine grit refines the bevel and cleans up burrs left by earlier passes.

The stone seats into a non-slip holder with grooves underneath that catch run-off, so the bench stays clean and the stone can drain in place after use.
