This Japanese furoshiki wrapping cloth showcases an exclusive KASHIKO design by artist Satomi Kawada, known for her "hanazume" technique of filling every surface with flowers. A maneki-neko, the beckoning cat associated with good fortune, sits at the centre of a dense, blossom-filled field.
The cloth is hand-dyed in Kyoto by Baba Senshokojo using a traditional ten-colour stencil process, giving the floral detail its depth and clarity. It makes an elegant option for wrapping gifts, carrying small parcels, or simply displaying as a decorative textile.
