Elegant Traditional Colors
The lid, inspired by chrysanthemum patterns, features glazes in traditional Japanese hues, adding beauty to any modern table setting.
Lightweight Design
A thinner body ensures both lightness and heat retention, making it easy to handle and clean.
Microwave-Friendly
Reheat leftover rice directly in the pot for convenience and fewer dishes.
Why Seasoning Is Important:
This process fills the tiny pores on the surface with starch, preventing leaks and reducing the absorption of food odors and colors.
You only need to do this before the first use—no need to repeat for subsequent uses.
Preparing Your Donabe Before First Use
Fill the pot 80% with water and bring it to a boil.
Reduce to low heat, add a water-dissolved mixture of flour (see guidelines below), and stir well.
Simmer for 5 minutes, turn off the heat, and let it cool completely.
Rinse thoroughly, dry completely, and it's ready to use!
