Customers praised this rice storage container as 'beautiful and functional' with a 'gorgeous hinoki smell.' The transparent lid, magnetic measuring cup, and pest-repelling wood properties were highly valued. Most found it stylish and practical. However, some felt misled about manufacturing origin (China vs Japan), and a few wished for a larger 10kg size option.
- Stylish and practical with an absolutely gorgeous smell!
- Love the magnetised scoop, great that it will keep bugs at bay
- Excellent storage - No Bugs! Recommend.

I absolutely love this hinoki rice storage container. Not only is it beautiful to look at, but it’s also incredibly practical and keeps my rice neatly stored and easy to access. The standout feature, though, is the wonderful natural hinoki scent — every time I open the lid, I’m greeted by the most calming, fresh aroma. It turns a simple kitchen task into a little moment of joy. Functional, elegant, and smells amazing — I couldn’t be happier with it.

After the whole trump thing, don't really care where it's made as long as it's good quality, which this is.
Magnetic cup is great
J
Good quality but not made in Japan. Difficult to find any information on small Japanese brands like this but I guess most things are made in China nowadays so I'm not too surprised, but this fact was clearly hidden.
S
Looks very cute on counter and love the magnetised scoop, great that it will keep bugs at bay and it's also a nice sensory experience getting the rice out with the hinoki scent. Very well made.
J
Beautiful and functional
P
Have sent numerous messages and photos to Minimaru, without response… Unfortunately, despite careful unwrapping, the Rice Storage Container arrived damaged, which was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING!!! The damage must have been done before packaging, as it was packaged quite well. Although I didn’t expect the wood to be rather soft too… That being said, it’s still does the job and looks nice enough (as long as the damaged parts are hidden)…
A
Beautiful, well designed and good price for the quality. Magnetised scoop is great.
